About the Artist
Welcome to my world of art—a journey where every canvas is an exploration of thought, emotion and the quiet wisdom of nature.
My professional life spanned more than three decades in the corporate world, where discipline, leadership and human interaction shaped my perspective. Yet, beneath those years, a creative impulse remained alive, waiting for the right moment to find its fullest expression. That moment arrived after retirement, when painting transformed from a cherished passion into a lifelong pursuit.
Being largely self-taught, I approached art not through formal instruction but through observation, curiosity and relentless practice. I immersed myself in galleries, exhibitions and conversations with accomplished artists, absorbing diverse styles while gradually discovering a visual language that felt uniquely my own.
My early paintings celebrated the beauty of nature. Over time, however, my work evolved into something more contemplative. Today, my canvases explore the relationship between nature and the human spirit. The solitary seeker, ancient trees, silent lakes, winding paths, monks in meditation, Hanuman in quiet contemplation, light emerging through darkness, and symbols drawn from Indian philosophy have become recurring elements in my work. These are not merely subjects—they are metaphors for resilience, self-discovery, faith, transformation and the inner journey that each of us undertakes.
I work primarily in acrylics on canvas, blending realism with symbolism to create paintings that invite reflection rather than simply admiration. I believe that every viewer brings a different life experience to a painting, and therefore every interpretation is both personal and valid. My hope is that each artwork offers a moment of stillness in an increasingly restless world.
Over the years, my paintings have been exhibited at numerous exhibitions across India and have received recognition through awards and honours. A significant milestone in this journey was the publication of a coffee table book featuring my artworks—a celebration not only of the paintings themselves but of an artistic journey that continues to unfold.
For me, art is not about depicting what the eye sees. It is about revealing what the heart feels and what the soul quietly understands. If my paintings encourage someone to pause, reflect, or reconnect with themselves, they have fulfilled their purpose.
